BIOGRAPHY:
Watertouch originates from the same town (Borlänge,Sweden) that has produced famous progbands like Anekdoten and Deathorgan. Our music is firmly based in the 70´s tradition of Deep Purple, Focus, Zappa, Santana, Miles Davis, Kebnekaise and so forth. Our forthcoming debutalbum "We never went to the moon" consists of seven tracks, five instrumentals, and is produced by Swedish Grammy winner Tommy Andersson. He also contributes on two tracks with vocals and sitar. Maybe this is the one to get him on the frontpage of sitarplayer! Watertouch consists of the following members: Peter Holmstedt: Bass.A former student of Berklee college of music. His widetaste varieys from Jaco Pastorius to Slipknot. He´s also one of the driving forces behind funkoutfit Soulstation whose just released their debutalbum "Have to be hip". Eiron Johansson: Drums and percussion.A drummer whose got a lot of experience and has played with almost everyone worth mentioning in Sweden, including Jojje Wadenius formerly of Steely Dan. You can check out Thomas Larssons (ex.Glenn Hughes) soloalbum Freeride if you wanna hear Eiron in action. Per Wiberg: Organ and Piano. A man that needs no introduction! He´s a fulltime member of worldwide known hardrockgroup Spritual Beggars. He´s released two albums with his own hard/prog act Deathorgan. He´s also a member of Sky High X-large. The only bad thing you can say about him is that he´s a supporter of Nottingham Forest soccerteam, well nobody´s perfect..ehh Patrick Salin: Guitar and vocals. When not pursuing his maininterests Wine, women and song, and not necessarily in that order, he once in a while teams up with Jan-Erik Liljeström of Anekdoten to play homage to Thin Lizzy with coveract Fred´s perfect. He´s also one of the mainmen behind pop-funk-jazz outfit In Flight Entertainment. And of course he´s a strong believer that we soon will see Wolwerhampton Wanderers in the Champions League. Now if you really want to get in touch with Watertouch, check out the samples page with excerpts of the album. Hope you enjoy it! |
